In Loving Memory of Mary Rose (Bowman) Gomez

Mary Rose (Bowman) Gomez passed away peacefully at home on October 26, 2021. Born to Alejandro and Eralia (Trujillo) Bowman in Burro Canyon on April 27, 1923. She was preceded in death by her parents Alex and Eralia Bowman. Spouse Joe O. Gomez. Brothers Pete and Louis Bowman. Sisters Eva Maldonado and Annie Gerardo. She was also survived by her sons Larry Vallejos Trinidad, CO; Floyd (Julie) Gomez (Lakewood, CO); Rick (Jennie) Gomez (Lakewood, CO). Daughters Betty Vallejos Trinidad, CO and Pamela (Bryan) Torres Sterling, CO. Stepchildren Joe Gomez, Jr, Charlene McGee, and Joanne Key and numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, Godchildren, numerous nephews, and nieces. Mary Rose enjoyed crocheting and even taught crochet classes at the Senior Center. She also enjoyed gambling, cooking, fishing, and visiting with all her family and friends. She was a member of the Catholic congregation and a devoted Chrisitan. She enjoyed mass at Santuario de Chimayo in New Mexico. She was a member of the Confederacion Mutualista Mexicana E, H. Americana Lodge. She was kind to everyone she met. She touched many people’s hearts and will truly be missed by so many people, but her memories will forever be cherished. She will be in our hearts until we meet again.

Visitation will be Wednesday, November 3, 2021, at the Comi Chapel from 3 pm-7 pm.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated Thursday, November 4, 2021, at 10 am at Holy Trinity Catholic Church.

Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.

Active pallbearers will be Richard Gomez Jr., Gary Bowman, John Maldonado, Anthony Maldonado, Daryl Gerardo, and Tommy Gomez.
