In Loving Memory of Jacky Dwayne Pierce

Jacky Dwayne Pierce, of Raton, NM, lost his valiant fight with cancer and went home into the loving arms of his Lord and Savior on Sunday, October 24, 2021, at his home with his family by his side.  Jack was born on October 15, 1946, in Coleman, TX.  Jack was raised in Gouldbusk, TX, by his parents Louella and A.C. Jack spent most of his life working in the oil field overseas and loved his profession.   He retired as a consultant in the field in 2014.  Jack also loved ranching, hunting, fishing, his horses, and spending time with family and friends.  Jack always lived life to the fullest, his favorite saying was, “Life is Good!”  He was a man of few words, but his facial expressions, smile, and special wink always said it all.  Jack was a proud member of the Masonic Lodge and Elks Lodge.  He was especially proud of his children and grandchildren and considered them his greatest accomplishments.

Jack was married to the love of his life, Davida Lee Berry, who preceded him in death after 32 loving years.  He was also preceded in death by his mother and father.

Jack is survived by his sons and daughters, Troy and Mindy Pierce of Hewitt, TX, Casey and Shannon Pierce of Raton, NM, Cindy and James Pelton of Santa Anna, TX, and Marylynn Mataska of Albuquerque, NM; ten grandchildren, Chrystal Pelton, Jennifer and Josh Rambo of Santa Anna, TX, Jessica and Chris Cheaney of Round Rock, TX,  Walker, Hadlee, and Hudson Pierce of Hewitt, TX, Tristan Pierce of Raton, NM, Jesse Dipert, Harley, and Shelby Romero of Albuquerque, NM; six great-grandchildren and 1 great-grandson; his special companion, Diane Dixon of Raton, NM, who shared their adventures together and loved each other dearly; and his cousin, who were closer than brothers, Lloyd McCarroll of Azle, TX, and numerous other cousins.

The family would like to extend a special thank you to the hospice nurses, Robin and Connie for their loving care and compassion shown to our dad and our family in our time of need.

Jack was a faithful, loyal friend to many.   He will always be remembered and loved by his family and friends.
