Karen (Romero) Lepic went to be with the Lord on Monday, September 27, 2021, surrounded by family in Santa Fe, NM.
Karen is preceded in death by her daughter Kimberly Mitchell, her husband Mike Lepic, grandparents Cirilio and Alice Sanchez, stepfather Philbert “Lugar” Vialpando, and father of her children and ex-husband Charles Mitchell.
She is survived by her mother Bernie Vialpando, daughter Christina Mitchell and companion Antowne Taylor, her son Charles Mitchell Jr, and companion Sara, her daughter Pekabo Mente, her sister Carol Romero Trujillo and husband Joe and her grandsons; Charles “Charlie” Mitchell III, Maxwell Taylor, Elijah, and Ezran Mente and a bonus Brayden, numerous nieces and one nephew and her Chihuahuas; Daisy and Snickers as well as many friends.
Karen was born on August 6, 1966, she graduated from Raton High School in 1984 and moved to Santa Fe, NM where she resided for her life.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be October 22, 2021, at 10:00 am at the St. Patrick’s/ St. Joseph’s Catholic Church recited by the Legion of Mary followed by the mass of Christian burial at 10:30 am with Father Bill Woytavich as the celebrant. Rite of Committal and Inurnment will follow at Fairmont Cemetary in Raton.
