Thomas King Remple III passed peacefully at his home, in the company of his friends and care providers on May 16, 2021. Tom was born on March 16, 1947, to Marjorie Patterson and Thomas King Remple Jr. He was preceded in death by his father Tom, his mother Marjorie, his stepfather Ellis “Pat” Patterson, and his brother Louis Remple.
He is survived by his friends and honorary pallbearers, Max Montano, Monty Quintero, Tom Herrera, Russell Langfitt, Chris Abeyta-Garcia, Nicholas Davila, and Cleo Barela.
Tom was a kind, generous and gentle person who loved country music and cowboy hats. He loved to talk and “joke around” with his many friends and acquaintances. Tom loved cars and often spoke fondly of his Trans Am. Tom worked for the Trinidad State Nursing Home for 14 years and then ran the recycling center for the Las Animas Center until his retirement.
Memorial Service will be held Tuesday, October 19, 2021, at 11 am at the Fisher’s Peak Community Church, 10377 Santa Fe Trail in Trinidad.
His guardians want to thank the staff at Southern Colorado Developmental Disabilities Services, Las Animas County Rehabilitation Center, and Mt. Rose Hospice care.
Arrangements were made under the direction of the Comi Funeral Home.
