Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 12 Noon on Saturday, October 16, 2021, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Jason Pettigrew as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Ronnie Joseph Rael graduated from Clayton High School in 1971. After graduation, he volunteered to serve his country with the United States Marine Corps from 1971 to 1975. Upon returning from the military, he carried out his life with his skilled talents in carpentry and touched many lives with his self-taught guitar playing. Always offering to play his beautiful music for benefits to help others in time of need. Ronnie loved his family dearly, would always serenade with his guitar in hand, and enjoyed teaching and dancing with his grandchildren. Ron always had a nickname for everyone and brought so many memories of joy and laughter to their hearts. “Loved by everyone who knew him”. Ronnie was preceded in death by his Father Ralph “Nash” Rael, Mother Vera Rael, and brothers Rudy Rael, Ray Rael, and Robert Rael.
SURVIVORS:
Wife of 42 years Esther Rael, and his daughters Monica Rael of Clovis, NM, Rebecca Rael and her significant other Esteban Lopez, of Clovis, NM.
Two sisters Rosie DeHerrera and her Husband Joe E. DeHerrera of Clayton, and Rhonda Aragon, of Clayton, NM.
Several nieces and nephews.
Grandchildren: Ray Rael, Remy Lopez, Ronnie Lopez, Celina Lopez, Guillermo Montanez, Destiny Rael, Adriana Montanez, Xavier Montanez, Abraham Montanez, and Lovelynn Rael.
Great-Grandchildren: Jeremiah Rael & Kimberly Gerardo
