George Lovato of Roy, New Mexico

George Lovato, age 83, died on Sunday, September 19, 2021 at his home on the Lovato Ranch.
Rosary will be recited at 9:00 AM on Saturday, September 25, 2021. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on following the Rosary at Holy Family Catholic Church in Roy, New Mexico with Fr. Christopher Martinez as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Roy Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
George Lovato was born on February 22, 1938 in Roy, New Mexico to Levinio Lovato and Carolina (Romero) Lovato. He grew up in Roy and then attended Clayton High School and graduated in 1958. George served in the Army National Guard and worked for Bluer Lumber Company in Albuquerque. He loved working with wood and was a great carpenter. He always had a guitar and was very talented. Any time someone needed a back up he was always available. He loved his family and loved spending time with them. George also worked as a truck driver and worked for Swift for several years. In addition to his parents, George was preceded in death by 1 son, Stephen Lovato and by 2 sisters, Helen Lovato and Lydia Smith.

1 DAUGHTER: Gina Lovato of Mineola, Texas.
2 SONS: Andrew Lovato and his wife Maria Lupe of Guymon, Oklahoma and Levens Lovato and his wife Rose of Little Rock, Arkansas.
8 GRANDCHILDREN: Jennifer Lovato, Jared Lovato and Jacob Lovato all of Little Rock, Arkansas, Daniella Lovato, A. J. Lovato and Azcelynn Lovato all of Guymon, Oklahoma, Demetrius Lovato of Austin, Texas and Alex Lovato of Midland, Texas.
4 SISTERS: Annie Ficarro and Patricia Bautista both of Roy, New Mexico, Rose Alford and her husband Michael of Clayton, New Mexico and Gloria Lovato of Barstow, California.
2 BROTHERS: Antonio Lovato of Roy, New Mexico and Archie Lovato and Caroline of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.
And numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
