Richard S Olguin, age 87, passed away in his home in Pueblo, Colorado, on August 18, 2021. He was born in Earl, Colorado to Annie and Alex Olguin . Richard served in the United States Navy as a Seabee, assigned to Mobil Construction Battalion in the Philippine Island and then Okinawa for four years. When he came home, he registered for classes at the Trinidad State Junior College, where he received his AAS Degree in Industrial Arts.
On August 6, 1960, he married the love of his life, Carmen ( Ynostroza).
They have two children, Rich (Mary) Olguin and Carla Olguin . His granddaughters are Jessica, Marina, Shannon and his great grandson, whom we thought the world of,Blake Olguin
The memories Richard cherished most were all the trips he made throughout the Western United States, Mexico, Canada and Alaska, with his wife and family.
Siblings are Pete (Sharon )Olguin, Dolores Olguin, Molly Sharp and Minnie Pacheco, and brother and sister in law Julian (Alice) Ynostroza.
He is also survived Buy numerous nieces nephews and many dear friends.
Rosary will be recited at 10 AM on Thursday, September 2, 2021, at the Comi Funeral Home Chapel , with inurnment following at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery. Graveside services will be conducted by the US Naval Honor Guard.Honorary Pallbearers are Julian Ynostroza, John Doran , Mike Dalsimer, Abel Benavidez, Jess Gibson and Blake Olguin.
