A Celebration of Life Service will be Saturday, August 7, 2021, at 1:00 P.M. at Good News Church with Pastor David Alvarado officiating. Burial to take place on Tuesday, August 10, 2021, in Clayton, New Mexico. Arrangements and Services have been entrusted to Mendez and Mullins Family Funeral Home of Hereford, Texas. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 6, 2021, from 6:00-8:00 P.M. at the funeral home. Masks are encouraged for the service.
Viewing will be held from 8:00 AM to 7:00 PM on Monday, August 9, 2021 at Hass Funeral Home in Clayton, New Mexico. Funeral Services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, August 10, 2021 at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Hilario Perez, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Mary was born on November 15, 1958, in Clayton, New Mexico to Marcelino Zambrano and Amelia Maestas. Mary worked as an assistant manger at the Hereford Walmart for the past 4 years. In Mary’s younger days she enjoyed playing volleyball and softball and was a Denver Broncos fan. Mary liked to plant and take care of both indoor and outdoor plants and making flower arrangements. Mary attended Goodnews Church, she loved her Lord and faithfully read her bible. Mary was hardworking, loving, understanding, and caring; she loved and adored her family, children, and grandchildren. She will be dearly missed.
Those left to cherish her memories are her grandmother Pita Maestas of Clayton, New Mexico, mom Amelia Maestas of Hugoton, Kansas, dad Marcelino Zambrano of Dalhart, Texas, son Reno Garcia of Washington, daughter Kissy Garcia of Texas, son Eric Garcia of California, ten grandchildren, one great-grandchild, sisters: Esther Martinez of New Mexico, Rachael Hernandez of New Mexico, and Andrea Brazeal of Texas, brothers: Marcelino Zambrano Jr., Isaac Zambrano, Saul Zambrano all of Kansas, and Curtis Zambrano of Texas, numerous nieces and nephews, and special friend Diamond Perez of Hereford, Texas.
She is preceded in death by her brother David Zambrano.
