Phyllis M. Mazza passed away on August 1, 2021, in Pueblo, Colorado, at the tender age of 97. She was born Phyllis Marie Niccoli on October 19, 1923, in Trinidad to the late Tony and Adelida Niccoli. She lived her entire life in Trinidad having attended area schools and was a proud graduate of the Trinidad High School class of 1941.
On September 2, 1946, Phyllis was united in marriage to Sisto Mazza Sr. who preceded her in death. They were the parents of four children: Lana (Hiram) Leonard of Pueblo, CO, Toni Jo (Mike) Mangino, Sisto Mazza Jr and Lynell Mazza all of Trinidad. She was a grandmother to Chad DeBono, Clint (Heidi) Leonard, Courntey (Mike) Hecht, Ryan Mangino (Amber Truelson), Kellie (Donner) Billlingsley, Giana Mazza, Kimberly Mazza, and Kaylee Mazza. She was a great grandmother to Cole and Cylie Leonard.
Phyllis was a member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel and Holy Trinity parish for her entire life. She had a strong belief in God that she passed on to all of her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Preceding her also in death by her in laws, Antonio and Albonina Mazza, her brothers Pete, Joe, Tony and Frank Niccoli and her sisters, Theresa Reynolds, Della DeBella, and Vera Fanning.
She is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews along with her sister and brother in law, Irene (“Ducky”) Montera, and the Veltri, Ringo, and Monteleone families, who were like family to her.
Phyllis was greatly loved and will be dearly missed by all whose lives she touched.
Private family services with graveside services to be announced at a later date with the public invited to attend.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made in the name of Phyllis to Holy Trinity Church.
