Joseph C. “Joey” Trujillo, age 67, died on Saturday, July 31, 2021 in Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

SERVICES: Vigil services will be held at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, August 4, 2021 and Rosary will be recited afterwards. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, August 5, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Jason Pettigrew as Celebrant. BACKGROUND: Joseph C. “Joey” Trujillo was born on January 25, 1964 in Clayton, New Mexico to Caytano Trujillo and Mary Helen (Weaver) Trujillo. A life long resident of Clayton, New Mexico, Joey worked for several years as a cook at the Rabbit Ear Café and the Clayton Dairy Queen and then he worked at the Clayton Ranch Market. Joey had a never ending love for the Dallas Cowboys and the Clayton Yellow Jackets. He was preceded in death by his father, Caytano Trujillo and by 2 sisters, Irene Rael and Jane Arellano.

SURVIVORS:

MOTHER: Mary Helen Trujillo of Clayton, New Mexico.

3 SISTERS: Louise Trujillo, Regina Trujillo and Juve and Mae Trujillo and Rudy all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 BROTHER: Andrew Trujillo of Clayton, New Mexico.

GOD-CHILDREN: Amanda Trujillo of Desert Hot Springs, California and Caytano Trujillo of Clayton, New Mexico.

And several nieces and nephews.
