JD Christopher Claflin was born on March 1st, 1970, in Trinidad, CO to Martha Lujan and Jack Claflin. He was 51 years old at the time of his death. He was taken to Heaven unexpectedly on July 20th, 2021. JD was a loving person who cared deeply for his family and friends. He was very protective of his family especially his Sister Jackie. He had 2 adult children and 1 teenage daughter. He was not married at the time of his death. JD loved baseball whether he was playing or umping games. He enjoyed fishing, and riding motorcycles as well.
JD is survived by his children; Mark (Melanie) Claflin, Brianna (Shawn) Lopez, and Vanessa Claflin. His parents; Martha (Roger) Lujan, Jack (Bernadette) Claflin. His Siblings; Jackie (Rodney) Romero, Antoinette (Josh) Choate, Crystal Gonzales, Desiree (Omar) Abdalla, Roy Elliot, Joaquin (Gabrielle) Gonzales, Angel Fernandez, Roger Gutierrez, Raymond Gutierrez. His niece/God Daughter Camila (Andrew) Stocking and Special Cousin John “Skeeter” (Pearl) Claflin. Along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Services will be held Thursday August 5th at 10:00 AM at Comi Funeral Home. There will be a reception following the services at St. Joseph’s Halll.
