Roque Marquez Jr. went home to the Lord on July 17th 2021 at age 47. Roque was born to Roque and Maria (Mediano) Marquez on February 24th 1974 in Walsenburg Colorado.
Roque graduated from Hoehne High school in 1992 and went on to attend Trinidad State Jr. College, earning his Associates degree in Drafting and Design Technology.
Roque is survived by his children Roque III (Jessica), Francisco and Cheyenne Marquez. Parents Roque Sr. and Maria (Mediano) Marquez. Sister Angie (Frank Luna) Marquez and their children Jasmine, Ashley, Raymond, Eric, Cody and Chris; sister Laura Veltri (Aaron) and their children Deanna, Jocelyn and Nathaniel. Sister Lorena Mediano children Tatiana and Nadia Contreras. Brother Roque (Paz) Marquez and their children Victor and Rosy Marquez. Numerous uncles, aunts, cousins and many friends including a very close brother/mentor Tobias Krinsky.
Roque was extremely talented with his hands, from construction to drawing and air brushing. He was a man that loved to work and help people when he could. Later in life he developed a passion for Serving the Lord, being an example to his friends and being apart of Soldiers of Hope focusing on people with Addictions. Roque will be missed and remembered by many and will live on through the lives he touched.
Visitation will be Thursday, July 22, 2021 from 3pm-6pm at the Comi Chapel.
Funeral Services will be Friday, July 23, 2021 at 10am at the Comi Chapel.
Interment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
