Carl E. Sciacca (Rusty) passed away the evening of May 1,2021.
He was preceded in death by his wife Sharon L. Sciacca, his father Phillip Sciacca, mother Patricia Novara and brother John Novara.
He is survived by his children Cheryl (Jim) Carroll, Lisa (Charles) Grimes, Barbara (Jim) Salmon, Katheryn (Jay) Pape, 9 grandchildren & 7 great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his siblings Frank (Chico) Sciacca, Mary Jane Hughes, Virginia Bingham, Angela Hickman, Phillip (Babe) Sciacca, Rose Falsetto, Patricia Sanchez, Sandy Hinton as well as several nieces & nephews.
He was considered by many to be one of the last true American cowboys, loved his horses as a child which carried through to his last days. He seemed happiest horseback but also loved the open road. The majority of his employment was at UPS (27 years) His miles logged behind the wheel are in the millions between his work and sheer love of driving.
His main focus in life was the happiness and wellbeing of his loved ones, especially his wife and four daughters.
Rusty has chosen cremation so his girls have decided to have a Celebration of his Life on his 82nd birthday to be held on July 18, 2021 from10am-2pm in the (Las Animas County Fair Grounds) Trinidad Round Up Park Picnic area.
