In Loving Memory of Ernesto “Hoss” Craine

 

Ernesto “Hoss” Craine, age 69, died on Thursday, July 8, 2021 in Amarillo, Texas.

Vigil service will be held at 7:00 PM on Thursday, July 15, 2021 at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Friday July 16, 2021 with Fr. Jason Pettigrew as Celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Ernesto “Hoss” Craine was born on November 18, 1951 in Clayton, New Mexico to Juan Craine and Quirina (Gutierrez) Craine. Ernesto was a lifelong resident of Clayton, New Mexico except for the time that he spent in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He enjoyed spending time with all of his family and he liked to hunt and was a huge Elvis Presley fan and liked to read books about Elvis and old westerns. In addition to his parents, Ernesto was preceded in death by a brother, Jose Sepriano Craine, a sister, Gloria Craine and a nephew, T. J. Garcia.

1 SON: Salomon Craine and his wife Christine of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 GRANDCHILDREN: Kameron Craine, Quinton Craine, Markie Joe Podzemny, Stephen Martinez and Kimberly Martinez all of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 SISTER: Antonia Garcia and her husband Fred of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 BROTHERS: Jose C. Craine of Santa Fe, New Mexico and Sam Craine and his wife Annie of Clayton, New Mexico.

1 NIECE: Quirina Wolf and Adam of Clayton, New Mexico.

5 NEPHEWS: Jory J. Craine of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Juan Garcia and Lena of Longmont, Colorado, Nick Craine and Jennifer and Carlos Craine and Sylvia all of Clayton, New Mexico and Eric Craine and Angela of Clovis, New Mexico.

And numerous great-nieces and great-nephews.
