Maria Bernice Coca was born November 21, 1950, in Lucero, NM to Jose and Carolina Duran, soon after they moved to Cimarron NM, where she met the love of her life Alfred (Gabby) Coca, they were married on July 9, 1974. She gave birth to one son Chris Coca.
She was preceded in death by her parents Jose and Carolina Duran, and sister Angie Martinez. She is survived by her husband Alfred (Gabby) Coca of the family home of Cimarron NM, sister Mary Hammond of Albuquerque NM, and brother Gilbert Duran of Springer NM. One son Chris Coca and wife Janet of Cimarron NM, grandchildren Samantha Trujillo and husband Matthew of Springer NM, Cristobal Coca, Leo Coca, Kevin Coca, Jimmy Coca all of Cimarron NM, and 3 great grandchildren Alexis, Aallyah, and Santiago of Springer NM, as well as numerous Brother and Sister in-laws, nephews, and nieces. Bernie was a loving and caring person who loved to spend time with her grandchildren and never missed a chance to go shopping. She will be greatly missed by her friends and family.
Recitation of The Most Holy Rosary will be on July 24, 2021, at 9:30 AM, at the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall in Cimarron, NM., recited by Stella Aguilar. The Holy Mass of Our Lord will follow at 10:30 AM, in the Sister Hildegard Parish Hall, with Fr. Douglas Mitchell officiating. Inurnment will follow at the Mt. View Cemetery in Cimarron, NM.
