Tony A. Trujillo, a longtime resident of Trinidad, went to be with the Lord on June 9, 2021. Tony had passion for automobiles and used this in his career as a truck driver. He worked for most of his career as a delivery driver for local businesses including STAR Motor Freight. He enjoyed restoring old cars and building models. You may remember seeing him cruise one or another of his cars around Trinidad or in the Labor Day parade.
Tony was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 48 years, Marlene (Salazar) Trujillo, and his parents Gene and Dora Trujillo.
He is survived by his two sons, John (Wendy) Trujillo of Pueblo, CO and David Duran of Centennial, CO; one sister Sadie Muniz; nephews Ronald (Paula) Trujillo, Andrew Duran; grandchildren: John (Kristen) Trujillo, Candice Trujillo, Latina Trujillo, David Duran, II, Alicia (Matt) Horning, and Marcus Duran; and Great-Grandchildren: Shayla, Leo, Evelyn Trujillo; Jesqa Duran; and Weston Horning.
A Memorial Service will be held at 1pm on Monday, July 12, 2021, at Comi Funeral Home.
Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
