In Loving Memory of John Peter Ortiz

John Peter Ortiz was born in Trinidad Colorado on May 25, 1951 to Genvia Martinez and Tom Ortiz. John went home with the Lord on June 18, 2021. He is preceded in death by parents Genvia and Tom Ortiz ,wife Marilyn Ortiz ,son Tom Ortiz and sisters Sophie Ortiz and Nelly Ortiz. John is survived by sons John Edward Ortiz (Briana Rohrer ),Pat Ortiz (Shanna Avila ),Rich Ortiz, Vince Ortiz, Jake Ortiz (Tiffany Gutierrez), Grand children Marissa Mae Ortiz, Ruben Romero, Desiree Morgan, Monique, Devon, Gianna, Tristan, Ashton, Patrick, Destany, Tomas, Marilyn, and Angelo Ortiz.
He is also survived by his sisters, brother, and numerous nieces and nephews. John enjoyed searching for arrowheads, hiking, visiting with his kids and grandchildren. He loved cheering on his two favorite teams the Denver Broncos and the Denver Nuggets. Funeral services will be held Friday, July 2, 2021, at 10 AM at the Comi Funeral Home. Inurnment will follow at the Trinidad Catholic cemetery. Arrangements made under the directions of the Comi Funeral Home
