Teni worked her entire life finally retiring from Safeway in Trinidad, CO after many years in the bakery department. Of all her acquired talents, her most favorite was to cook and feed her family and friends.
In the summer of 1993, she met the love of her life, Danny Puryear. They have enjoyed riding their Harleys, collecting classic cars, traveling, watching football “Go Broncos”, listening to all type of music but her favorite was the Blues and working side by side. Their greatest joy was making new friends and feeding them.
EVERYONE embraced and loved Teni for the fun loving, beautiful, caring, kind, forgiving, generous and loving person she was. She was taken from us way too early on June 21, 2021, but managed to make her small presents known, first with her beautiful smile and sweet little giggle. She was an advocate for women riders and was on the cover of Asphalt Angels Magazine while in Sturgis in 1998.
She is survived by her husband of 25 years, Dan Puryear; Mother-in-law, Virginia Buscarini; sisters: Celina Santistevan, Sophie Atwater, Charmaine Demchek, Adeline Shell, Lynne Fanelli and husband Jim Fanelli and brothers: Charles and Marilyn, David and wife Glenda, Billy Puryear and wife Pam and Sonny Buscarini. Stepsons: Billy Puryear, Jeff, and Jeremy Ulibarri and many Aunts and Uncles, cousins, many nieces including Joni and Joani and nephews including Kyle, Charles, Joey and a host of friends. Teni loved her nieces and nephews and her God daughter, Shianne Armijo and was there to offer support, guidance and a helping hand when possible.
Teni was preceded in death by her parents, Andrew and Virginia Lopez, brothers “Henjo”, little Andy, a brother in law, Carlos Santistevan, Father-in-laws: Virgil Buscarini and B.J. Puryear, step son, David Puryear and nephew Jared Lopez.
