In Loving Memory of Dora Sandoval Tompkins ( Grandma Dora)

Dora Sandoval Tompkins ( Grandma Dora) passed away peacefully at her home in Springer New Mexico surrounded by loved ones on Thursday May 13, 2021.
She was born on July 22,1936 in Mosquero New Mexico to Eloisa and Mateo Sandoval.
She was proceeded in death by her sons: Eugene Allen Miera, David Arnold Miera and grandsons Michael Cramer and Dustin Miera and brother Adolfo Francisco Sandoval. She is survived by her daughters: Martha Miera and family of Albuquerque NM, Dora Dee Tompkins and family of Springer and Barbara Grothe and family of Highlands Ranch Colorado.
She enjoyed being active in the Springer community. She especially enjoyed volunteering at the Springer Senior center and the Foster Grandparent program for the Springer municipal school district.
A celebration of her life will be held June 5 at St Joseph’s Catholic Church in Springer. The rosary will be read at 1030am followed by a service at 11.
Grandma Dora loved the Lord with all her heart! She was blessed with a servants heart and a gift to make people laugh!
She will be forever missed!
The family would like to thank nurse Robin Pilley for her loving care and support and the fabulous workers at Miners Colfax Medical Center in Raton for taking special care of Mom through the years. You all made her feel like she was part of the family!
Arrangements for Dora Sandoval Tompkins are under the direction of the Yaksich-Long Funeral Home of Raton.
