Evelyn Ann Shultz Labrier was born on February 19, 1938 in Boise City, Oklahoma to Edgar and Mabel Shultz. She was raised in Boise City and attended the Boise City Public Schools. On December 11, 1955, Evelyn married Ethan Labrier in Kenton, Oklahoma. To this union two sons were born, Billy Clay and Jimmy Don. They lived in Kenton for several years ranching before moving to Clayton, New Mexico where they ranched for 40 years before moving to Amarillo, Texas. While living in Clayton, Evelyn owned and operated a western store for ten years and later worked at a shoe store and in a chiropractor’s office. Evelyn was preceded in death by her parents, Edgar and Mabel Shultz, a sister, Mary Lou Sparkman, a brother-in-law, Wes Sparkman and a niece, Kristi Shultz. Evelyn was devoted to her family, her many friends and her Crossroad Country Church where she was a charter member. She never met a stranger-they were only friends she had yet to meet.
