Michael J. Barela age 64, passed away at his home in Raton NM, on May 9th 2020. He was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Aunts, Uncles, Brother in law, & Step Father Marcos Jiron. He is survived by Mother Mary Jiron from Raton, Brother Charles Barela & Family, Sister Sharon Romo & Family, Sister Beatrice & Husband Kenneth Arellano & family, Sister Lillian Barela & Family, Brother Jerry & wife Jessica Jiron & family, Sister Marcella & husband Jeffrey Busby of Terrell Texas, & Ex-wife Pauline Barela & family. He has numerous Cousins, Nephews, Nieces, Friends, & His #1 dog – “Charra”. Mike moved to Denver Colo. after graduating from Raton, he was a very hard worker, he loved Art such as painting, Engraving, he also liked to Cook, Fish, Garden, Joke, listen to a variety of music, Visit w/family & friends, but most of his pass time he enjoyed riding his Motorcycle by himself or w/friends. He has touched many hearts over the years in his own special way, memories shared with him will be cherished, he will be missed deeply, never forgotten & loved eternity.

Graveside service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on May 8, 2021 in the Fairmont Cemetary with Kenneth Arellano Sr. Officicating.
