In Loving Memory of Emil Vukich

Emil Vukich passed away on Thursday, April 29th.  If you have lived in Trinidad for any length of time, you probably knew him.   He drove his green Chevy truck and always stopped to visit with someone, somewhere in Trinidad!

Emil was born in Morley, CO on September 7, 1923.  He lived to be 97 plus 7 months!  Emil grew up in Starkville.   He is a World War II veteran, having spent 4 years in the Army.   In 1947, Emil married the love of his life, Mary (Monaco).     They were married for 63 years!

Emil worked most of his life for the City of Trinidad in the water, gas and building maintenance departments.   He also worked additional jobs, roofing houses, cement & carpentry work.   He was a member of the former Mt. Carmel Parish and Holy Trinity Church.

Emil loved to collect antiques and anything he could possibly have any use, refurbishing or recycling. He was always hauling a truckload of aluminum, brass and coper, often finding treasure in someone’s  discards!   He planted a garden for many years, even in his 90’s.

Emil loved his family, his wife Mary (deceased), his daughters, Rosemary (Jerry) and Judy (Steve),  four grandchildren, Stacie (Maurice),Todd (Lisa), Kristen (Andy), Brad (Stacey) and his twelve  great grandchildren, Desiree, Trinity, Rayne, Trenton, Liam, Ayden, Eli, Abbie, Emma, Bennett, Everett, and Elliott!

We are grateful and blessed to have had a wonderful Dad and Grandfather, and hope to see him again in our forever home!
