It is with loving hearts that we announce the passing our loved one, Daniel R. Ortiz on April 3, 2021. Daniel was born on February 5th, 1971 to Richard and Elsie Ortiz in Springer, NM.
Daniel was a life-long resident of Springer, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church. He was a graduate of Springer High School and a proud veteran of the United States Coast Guard (retired), Semper Paratus.
On July 4th, 1998; Daniel married Jacqueline (Lopez) Ortiz, together they made their home in Springer raising their beloved pups, Bandit, Chispas, and Bella. Until recently, one would see Daniel around town sharing smiles and well wishes with everyone he would see.
Dan is survived by his wife Jacque, his parents Richard and Elsie Ortiz, one sister Denise Trujillo (Martin), niece Christian Phillips (Ubaldo) and Gabriella all of Springer, and nephew Joshua Phillips of Seattle, WA, as well as numerous uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends who loved him very much and will miss him terribly.
Daniel was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Ike Trujillo and paternal grandparents, Mr. and Mrs. Frutoso Ortiz; aunts Beatrice Ortiz and Theresa Fernandez; and father-in-law Joe Lopez.
Daniel will certainly be missed, but we rejoice in our faith and the promise that we will reunite together with him in the midst of our Eternal Father in Heaven and what a grand day that will be.
