Mrs. Martinez lived her childhood and adolescent life north of Farley, NM, and attended school in Farley.
After having served in the United States Army, she returned home and shortly after married Candido Archuleta.
Mrs. Martinez ranched with her husband in the Folsom and Des Moines area where they had four children; Rebecca Skutka of Houston, TX, a son who died shortly after birth, Candido Archuleta of Raton, and Rudy Archuleta of Des Moines, until her husband’s death.
Mrs. Martinez remarried many years later until her husband died and then moved to Raton, NM where she resided until her death.
Mrs. Martinez is preceded in death by her father Camillo, mother Nicanora, her sister Martha and brother Aron,
Mrs. Martinez is survived by her three children and their spouses, seven grandchildren, several great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren.
Recitation of the Most Holy Rosary will be held on Wednesday, March 24, 2021, at St. Patrick’s/St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Raton, NM, recited by the Legion of Mary. Funeral Mass will follow at 10:30 a.m. with Father Bill Woytavich Officiating.
