The Lady Tigers continue their winning ways Wednesday evening March 17, 2021 in Tiger Gym as they hosted the Mesa Vista Lady Trojans.
The JV took the court first, a bit late due to travel conditions, and took the match to three games. Raton lead early in game one then almost lost the lead but gained it back until a tie at 23. Mesa Vista took the lead and the game. Raton blew a 5-1 lead in game two but quickly took a 16-8 lead and went on to win the game. Its overtime and tied game at 6, 7 before Mesa Vista went on for the win.
The varsity took to the court and it was a close game start to finish in game one with a tie at 23 before Raton managed to pull out the game. Games two and three were dominated by Raton with game two watching Mesa Vista put the ball into the net several times. In game three Raton took the early lead with an 8-1 score. Raton again dominated the game pulling out a 12-4 and 18-6 lead before going on to win the game by 13.
