Mary passed away on December 26th, 2020 in Las Vegas NM. She was born October 2, 1932, in Colorado City TX to Doc L McWilliams and Mary (DuBose) McWilliams.
Mary’s first passion at a young age was singing, she was asked to sing on many different occasions, she sang in the church choir and later in time became the choir director. Mary worked her whole life in various careers, spending the majority of her life in Real Estate and Property Management. She was always a tenacious, spirited lady with strong religious beliefs to go along with her Southern Texas upbringing. Mary was one of those that if you didn’t want to hear her opinion you better not ask her. Mary loved being around people, being part of her community, and helping her community in any way that she could, always being the first to volunteer, the first person there, and the last to leave.
Later in life, she loved to sit on her front porch with a cup of coffee and her four-legged child Lucy(her dog), watching the sunrise along with the deer and any other animals that would pass by her house. Mary is proceeded in death by her parents, her two brothers and one sister, one son, Patrick Schooling, one grandson Christopher Southerland and the father of her children Robert Schooling.
She is survived by her children, Cathy Jordan (Kenneth) of Amarillo TX, Lee Schooling of Rociada NM, Debi Brown (James) Somerville TX, Lisa Wood (Wade) Rociada NM, 10 Grandchildren, 26 Great Grandchildren, 19 Great Great-Grandchildren, 6 Great-Great-Great Grandchildren, and Lucy.
