Riley Clavel, a senior at Roy High School, has signed a national letter of intent to play basketball for Hastings College in Hastings, Nebraska. The daughter of Blair and Darcie Clavel, Riley has been a starting guard for the Roy/Mosquero Coop basketball program since the 8th grade and has been a 4 time NM All- State Selection.
The ceremony was held Tuesday in the Roy Gym.
Last year was one of the best years in Hastings College women’s basketball history as the team compiled a 30-3 record and was ranked as high as number 2 in the NAIA national ranking. Unfortunately, there season was cut short due to Covid before they were to play in the national tournament.
