Mary Nora (Valdez) Padilla, age 81, died on Saturday, January 30, 2021, in Clayton, New Mexico.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Mary Nora (Valdez) Padilla was born on December 22, 1939, in Clayton, New Mexico to Deciderio “Dessie” Valdez and Rosabelle “Rose” (Fernandez) Padilla. She married Joe Padilla, Jr. on November 18, 1955, in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on October 29, 2016. When they were first married Mary worked at TG&Y in Tucumcari, New Mexico. She worked most of her life in retail. Mary enjoyed playing softball and bowling. Mary was a loving mother, wife, grandmother, aunt, and friend. She loved her children dearly and she will be deeply missed. In addition to her husband and parents, Mary was preceded in death by 2 sisters; Bernie Trujillo and Vera Rael, 2 brothers; Joe Amado Valdez and Felix J. Valdez, 2 sons; Michael Anthony Padilla on April 26, 1995, and Frankie Joe Padilla on July 29, 2004.
SURVIVORS:
3 SONS: Danny Padilla, Morris Padilla, and Michael Padilla all of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER: Annabelle Padilla of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Connie Valdez and her husband Eddie of Clayton, New Mexico.
Her Grandchildren: Brandon Padilla, Ty Padilla, and his fiancé Shay all of Amarillo, Texas, Andrew Padilla of Clayton, New Mexico, and Charla Jimenez of Denver, Colorado.
1 Great-Granddaughter: Stella Padilla of Amarillo, Texas.
