Juan Quintana, age 77, died on Thursday, February 4, 2021, in Amarillo, Texas.
A memorial service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Juan “Pops” Quintana was born on August 21, 1943, in Folsom, New Mexico to Juan Maria Quintana and Pauline (Chavez) Quintana. A life long resident of Union County, Juan graduated from Des Moines High School and then joined the US Army. He served for fourteen months in Korea and then joined the Army National Guard and retired after 25 years of serving his country. Juan worked as a welder doing bridge construction for many years. He enjoyed road trips, camping, fishing, and cooking. Juan was preceded in death by his parents, by a brother; James Quintana, and by his dachshund Puddles.

WIFE: Evelyn Quintana of Folsom, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER: Ann Brown of Pueblo, Colorado.
1 SON: Johnny Quintana of Folsom, New Mexico.
1 GRANDDAUGHTER: Cozette Brown of Clayton, New Mexico.
3 SISTERS: Cleo Quintana and Percides Lopez both of Clayton, New Mexico, and Tina Aguilera of Ft. Bliss, Texas.
1 BROTHER: Fred Quintana of Deming, New Mexico.
