Kathleen Marie Sharpe died December 20, 2020, after a series of illnesses. She was a long-time resident of Houston, Texas. For many years she was a dedicated, well-respected teacher in the Houston Independent School District, teaching middle school in a low-income minority district.
Kathie was born on November 12, 1949, in Trinidad, Colorado. She graduated from Trinidad Catholic High School and went on to graduate from Loretto Heights College in Denver, Colorado.
Those who remember Kathie know that she had a caring heart. She enjoyed reading, especially about history, visiting museums, conversing with family and friends, and cheering for the Texans. She loved her poodles.
Kathie is preceded in death by her mother, Mary Sharpe, and her father, Herb Sharpe. Kathie is survived by her son, Jon Kelly Creek, his wife, Leslie, her sister, Bobbie Hoskins, and her husband, Jim, and several cousins.
Kathie was interred in a private service at the Trinidad Catholic Cemetery.
