Claudette J. Torres Largo, age 70, passed away unexpectedly at Parkview Medical Center on January 17, 2021. Claudette was born in Shiprock, New Mexico to James Largo, Sr., and Belle Plummer. She graduated from Shiprock High School in 1968. Following graduation, she moved to Denver, CO working as a medical records assistant where she met the love of her life, Robert. Claudette was quite the hometown celebrity where she was famous for her beautiful hand-crafted Native American jewelry, her homemade tortillas, pow wow burgers, and breakfast burritos. Some of her favorite past times were going out dancing at the La Casa, weekend trips to the casino in Cripple Creek, shopping with her girls, and collecting Elvis memorabilia. Claudette always wanted to visit Graceland and we were able to make that wish come true. She was well-liked by everyone that she came across daily and at her craft shows. She will be missed immensely by her loved ones and the community.
Claudette is survived by her spouse Robert of 47 years, Robert L. Torres, and her children, Shonna (Donovan) DeRosa, Roberta (Bruce Niccoli) Silver, Tammy (Alan Castillo) Torres, and Robert L. Torres, Jr. , grandchildren, great grandchildren, siblings, sisters and brothers in law, nieces, nephews, cousins and many dear friends.
