In Loving Memory of Beulah Hittson

Beulah Hittson, age 85, died on Monday, January 25, 2021, at her home in Des Moines, New Mexico.

A memorial graveside service will be scheduled at a later date. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Beulah Ann (McLaughlin) Hittson was born November 6, 1935, in Clayton, New Mexico to Stanley Loris McLaughlin and Marjorie Ruth (Tennis) McLaughlin. A lifelong resident of Union County, Beulah grew up in the Cimarron Station area and attended school in Clayton, and then when they moved closer to Des Moines, she graduated from Des Moines High School. Beulah married William Robert “Billy Bob” Hittson on August 22, 1953, in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on May 28, 1999. She loved to garden and loved her flowers. She was a member of the Folsom Garden Club for many years and a member of the Cow Belles. Beulah was very involved with her community, helping with just about every funeral in the Des Moines area for many years. She was crazy for her grandchildren and traveled many miles attending ball games, rodeo’s, stock shows, steer shows, and pig shows. She was known by many in the Des Moines area as MeMe. She was a 4H leader for all three of her children. Beulah loved to cook for the branding crews and for other people. In addition to her parents and husband, Beulah was preceded in death by a granddaughter; Ashli Hittson in 2004, a great-grandson; Luke Hittson in 2014, and by her sister; Reba Kay Garrison in 1993.

SURVIVORS:

1 DAUGHTER: Barbara Zinck and her husband Mitch of Amarillo, Texas.

2 SONS: Mark Hittson and his wife Delly of Amarillo, Texas, and Barry Hittson and his wife Shannon of Des Moines, New Mexico.

6 Grandchildren: Travis Zinck and his wife Carrie, Amber Zinck and Makenna Hittson all of Amarillo, Texas, Michael Hittson and his wife Lacey of Midland, Texas and Will Hittson and Wes Hittson of Des Moines, New Mexico.

4 Great-Grandchildren: Azelynn Zinck and Mayzie Zinck both of Amarillo, Texas, and Charlie Hittson and Robbie Hittson both of Midland, Texas.
