Henry Thomas “H.T.” Walker, age 80, died on Thursday, January 14, 2021 in Dumas, Texas.
Graveside services will be held at 2:00 PM Central Time on Tuesday, January 19, 2021 at the Wheeless Cemetery in Wheeless, Oklahoma with Chantry Davis, pastor of the Abundant Grace Church in Boise City, Oklahoma, officiating.
Henry Thomas “H.T.” Walker was born on January 14, 1941 in Cimarron County, Oklahoma to Henry Thomas “Todd” Walker and Clara Mae (Tosh) Walker. He attended school at Sandy View for the first 4 years and then in Kenton through the seventh grade before going to Boise City High School where he graduated in 1959. H.T. then attended VoTech School and then Frances Tuttle in Oklahoma City before returning to the Keyes area. He farmed and drove a truck for Farmer Trucking for four years and he also worked on the farm and on oil rigs in the winter. He owned and operated T & L Service, a tire and machine shop in Keyes, Oklahoma until a stroke forced him to retire. H.T. was preceded in death by his parents, a great-grandson; Creede Cook, a sister; Ida Mae Walker, 7 half-brothers; Don Walker, Cecil Walker, Clarence Walker, Tommy Walker, Henry Lee Walker, Roy Jiles and Bob Jiles and 5 half-sisters; Pearl Kohler, Velma Phillips, Sylvia Capansky, Norma Jean Moses and Ollie Walker.
Survivors include his partner, Linda Percifield of Keyes, Oklahoma. Daughter LuAnn Armer and her husband Blaine of Houston, Texas and son James Russell Walker of Houston, Texas.
4 STEP-DAUGHTERS: Lisa Fry of Elkhart, Kansas, Laura Cook and her husband Craig of Amarillo, Texas and Stephanie Cochran and her husband Bob and Brenda Marett and her husband Cody all of Keyes, Oklahoma.
10 GRANDCHILDREN: Devon Armer, Tyler Armer, Blake Cook, Brittani Estrada, Mackenzie Ottinger, Erica Baily, Tristian Williams, Tyler Brown, Elliott Fry and Colton Fry.
8 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN: Tessa Cook, Lane Cook, Sayge Estrada, Chanley Bailey, Landen Williams, Ally Cook, Aspen Cook and Ryan Cook.
Sisters, Bonnie Terry of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma and Ruby Thompson of Perry, Oklahoma.
Half-brother, Earl Jiles of Amarillo, Texas.
