In Loving Memory of Stephen Norris Webster

Stephen Norris Webster, 75, of San Antonio, TX passed away peacefully on December 29, 2020.

Steve was born November 25, 1945, in Springer, NM, and was called home after a brief illness. He grew up in Amarillo, TX where he graduated from Tascosa High School followed by graduation from the California College of Mortuary Science in Los Angeles, CA in order to work as a funeral director.

Steve married his high school sweetheart Joann Runquist on June 4, 1965. They lived in Downey, CA until moving to Raton, NM in 1975.

In Raton, Steve worked as an auto parts salesman, owned and operated Webco Safety Supply, and was a partner in K&W Enterprises which supplied area businesses and mines with safety equipment and supplies, along with working in his family’s petroleum business Webster Oil Co. until starting and operating S&J Trucking, Inc in Raton in 1984 with Joann. He loved his family, his friends, hunting around the world as well as fresh water and saltwater fishing.

After Joann’s untimely death Steve found his second love in Linda DeWitte who was with him until the end. Steve also found love in and from her children Shawn and Rachel DeWitte.

Steve was preceded in death by his father Buddy Webster, mother Maxine Booth, brother Ronnie Webster, and nephew Todd Bates.

Survivors include Linda of the family home, son Scott of Greeley, CO (Lisa), son Brian of New Baltimore, MI (Danielle), his precious grandson Daniel Stephen, his very loving sister Linda of Amarillo, TX, numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins that he loved very much.

Steve has been buried in Amarillo, TX and services will be delayed until a later date.
