Mary Avila Flores (also known as Vita) passed away at the age of 85, on December 19, 2020, at the Raton Nursing and Rehabilitation. Mary was born in Raton, NM on February 7, 1935.
Mary loved traveling the world with her family. She enjoyed dancing and listening to her Spanish music. She also enjoyed spending time with her family and grandchildren. Upon her passing, while she resided at the Nursing Home, she loved to greet the people that came in and were leaving. She loved the activity time; she was always first to be there. So many of her memories will be left in everyone’s heart that knew her.
Preceding her in death, her husband Jose Flores. Her patents Placido and Lucy Avila. Two brothers; Manuel and Gennaro Avila, Three sisters; Rose Marie Martinez, Alicia Mariani, and Estella Romero.
She is survived by 3 children: Maria E. Romero, Raul Avila, Rita, and her husband Art Bueno. Brother; Justo Avila and Alicia Avila and family.
Grandchildren; Thomas and Leroy D. Romero, Matthew and Danielle Avila, Sonya and Elena Flores, Deanna Tapia, Orlando Bueno, and companion Genevive Gonzales. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends, and great-grandchildren.
Services for Mary A. Flores will be held at a later date.
