Billy R. Trujillo age 79 passed away on November 22, 2020, in Raton, NM.
Billy was born December 18, 1941, to Hilario and Magdalena Trujillo in Cimarron N.M. Billy is preceded in death by his father and mother. Sister; Nora Martinez. Brothers; Jose, Eddie, Jimmy, and Johnny Trujillo.
He is survived by his brother Hilario (Wedito) (Gloria) Trujillo of Denver Colorado. Sister: Lucille (Bill) Valley of Amarillo Texas. Nephew: Robert (Tina) Martinez of Denver Colorado who grew up within the Trujillo family. As well as several nieces and nephews.
Billy attended Cimarron High School and graduated in 1961. He lived in Cimarron all his life and was known and loved by everyone. He and his neighbors looked out for each other and he loved hanging out with his friends. His passion was playing the guitar. He was a member of local bands such as The Comancheros, Charles and The Rockets, and The Four Diamonds. He played in many dance halls through the years which gave all of us great pleasure, joy, and memories to last a lifetime.
Billy was outgoing and had a great sense of humor. To his friends he was known as “Billy T.” He and Chris Garcia played for numerous funerals; he was so honored and it gave him great pleasure to be asked to play for the services. He will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Due to the Covid19 virus, the family has decided no service will be held at this time; services will be held when it is safe for friends and family to attend.
