Petra Marie Laumbach, age 57, died on Saturday, December 5, 2020, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Rosary will be recited at 10:00 AM on Wednesday, December 9, 2020, at Holy Family St. Joseph Catholic Church in Roy, New Mexico and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 11:00 AM with Fr. Tim Martinez as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Roy Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Petra Marie Laumbach was born on June 29, 1963, in Springer, New Mexico to Alfred Conrad Laumbach, Sr. and Eleanor Maria (DeHerrera) Laumbach. She grew up in Roy and graduated from Roy High School in 1981, the graduation was held in the bus barn because the gym had been torn down that year. She went on to attend Texas State Technical Institute in Amarillo and earned her Associates Degree in Office Management before going to West Texas A&M University in Canyon, Texas and earned her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and graduated with honors. Petra worked for North West Texas Hospital for several years and received an award for Nurse of the year one year. Petra returned to the Roy community and worked as a home health nurse in San Miguel, Mora, and Harding counties where she helped numerous families from the area. She later worked for the Raton VA Clinic and then worked as the nurse for the Springer school system and she also served as a private duty nurse for many Harding county citizens. Petra was preceded in death by her mother and father and by a brother; Alfred Laumbach and a sister Francis Chavez.

4 SISTERS: Lucille Gonzales of Amarillo, Texas, Christina Laumbach of New Zealand, Elizabeth Trujillo and her husband Joseph of Taos, New Mexico and Rose Monreal and her husband Steve of Sterling City, Texas.
5 BROTHERS: Ralph Laumbach and his wife Liz of Portales, New Mexico, Enrique Laumbach and his wife Mary and Pedro Laumbach and his wife Lillian all of Roy, New Mexico, Michael Laumbach and his wife Sharla of Amistad, New Mexico and Andrew Laumbach of Clayton, New Mexico.
And numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, aunts, uncles and cousins.
