In Loving Memory of Bertha Mary Crisman aka “Granny”

Bertha Mary Crisman aka “Granny”, age 78, passed away on November 23, 2020, in Santa Fe, New Mexico.

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Tuesday, December 1, 2020, at the Clayton Gospel Church with Pastor Mike Phipps, officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Bertha Crisman was born on December 3, 1941, in Farley, New Mexico to Seferino Romero and Sofia (Gonzales) Romero. On February 11, 1959, Bertha married the love of her life, James W. Crisman. They made Clayton their home where they raised their family. Bertha worked at Ben Franklin for several years and then went to work for Duckwall’s and worked there until she retired. Bertha spent her days enjoying life. Bertha loved going to casinos, making jewelry, going to church, and spending time with family and friends. She was a member of the Clayton Gospel Church and was baptized on September 28, 2014. Bertha was proceeded in death by her parents, her husband James Crisman, two daughters; Linda Howery and Donna Grube, and by her brother Frank Romero.

SURVIVORS:

4 SONS: Bobby Crisman of Clayton, New Mexico, Allen Crisman and his wife Lisa of Stinnett, Texas, Danny Crisman of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Eric Crisman and his wife Rachel of Clayton, New Mexico.

GRANDCHILDREN: Nick Cruz of Roswell, New Mexico, Lucas Cruz of Albuquerque, New Mexico, Tosha Maynes and her husband Randy of Felt, Oklahoma, Bryan Crisman and his wife Aryan of Temple, Texas, Tammy Rhyne and her husband Cody of Clayton, New Mexico, Tabitha Snell and her husband Jesse of Springtown, Texas, Angelica Howery of Texas, Michael Grube, Kimberly Grube and Steven Grube all of Las Vegas, Nevada, Isaiah Lucero, Isaac Lucero, and Nathan Lucero all of Clayton, New Mexico and Erin Crisman of Las Cruces, New Mexico.

20 Great-Grandchildren and 1 Great-Great-Grandchild.
