In Loving Memory of Vivian L. Romero
Vivian Louise (Louisa) Romero, age 67, born on July 17, 1953, in Cimarron, NM, passed on from this life on November 10, 2020, in Albuquerque, NM. She is preceded in death by her father, Frank Cardenas; and by her brothers: John, Christopher (Ray), and Frank Cardenas.
Vivian was a warm and loving woman who would help anyone she could. She was a talented Spanish-to-English translator and interpreter, a gifted seamstress, and an excellent cook. Vivian was a retired daycare center owner where she had a positive impact on the lives of many children and their families. Of utmost importance, Vivian remained a dedicated servant of Jehovah God. She shared the good news of his kingdom with everyone she knew.
She is survived by her husband of 21 years, Anthony Romero; her mother, Helen Cardenas; her siblings: Joseph (Jim) Cardenas, Kathryn (Meg) Cardenas, Barbara Cardenas-Trujillo, Marie Sedillo, David Cardenas, and wife Lianne, and Michael Cardenas and wife Mary Lou; her children: Raymond Quintana, Maria Elena ReQua and husband Scott, and Frank Rodriguez; her step-son, Bryan Arguero and wife Alegria Mitson-Salazar; her grandchildren: Ryan and Kayla (Solas) Quintana, Mabry ReQua and fiancé Elijah Jantz, Sean ReQua, and Franke Rodriguez; her great-grandchildren: Lucian and Alexandria Quintana; her caring in-laws; and by her many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
The warmth of her home reflected in the red sand burgundies she adorned it with and in the scent of fresh tortillas, was a place of comfort for her many friends and family. She will be remembered by those who knew and loved her every time rubies sparkle, strawberries ripen, roses bloom, and butterflies take flight.
Due to the current circumstances, and for the safety of all who she loved, services are being held through a virtual memorial by the Albuquerque Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s Witnesses. A celebration of her life will be scheduled for a future date.
