In Loving Memory of David Robert Bierbaum

David Robert Bierbaum, age 77, died on Tuesday, November 10, 2020, in Stratford, Texas.

Graveside services will be held at 10:00 AM on Saturday, November 28, 2020, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Dalhart, Texas with Pastor Barry Walker, pastor of the First Christian Church in Dalhart, officiating. Arrangements are under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

David Robert Bierbaum was born and raised in Barnes, Kansas to Lawrence Paul Bierbaum and Vera (Cairns) Bierbaum. He graduated from Barnes High School in 1961 and he worked in several grocery stores early in his career. He married Pat (Bigham) Bierbaum on July 9, 1967, in Marysville, Kansas. They moved the family to Dalhart, Texas in 1980 where he worked for United Supply Company and later for A & I Auto Parts and then for United Grocery Store before retiring. He was an amazing husband and father. His smile was contagious and he was known for his servant’s heart and treating others with love and kindness. David was an active member of the First Christian Church in Dalhart and he was a resident of Coldwater Manor Nursing Home in Stratford, Texas for the past two years. David was preceded in death by his parents, 2 brothers; Paul Bierbaum and Walter Bierbaum, a sister; Anna Usher, several nieces, and nephews and 3 grandchildren; Kaden Bierbaum, Kynlee Bierbaum, and Kolby Bierbaum.

SURVIVORS:

WIFE: Pat Bierbaum of Dalhart, Texas.

3 Sons: David Bierbaum and his wife Holly of Dalhart, Texas, Daryl Bierbaum, and his wife Deanna of La Junta, Colorado and Patrick Bierbaum and his wife Jessica of Shallowater, Texas. 1 DAUGHTER: Paulette Sturdivant and her husband Patrick of Mansfield, Texas.

14 Grandchildren: Brittney, Tyler, and his wife Ashlen, Lane and his fiancé Sarah, Kayla, Kady, Kyle, Morgan, Hannah, Kyra, Izzy, Bree, and Liam.

1 Great-grandchild on the way.

1 Sister: Betty Wiemers and her husband Jerry of Washington, Kansas.

1 Brother-in-law: Mert Bigham and his wife Jeanette of Topeka, Kansas.

And several nieces and nephews.
