Heaven has gained another angel, Eugene Joe Rascon (Geno) loving father, son, and brother, was born December 31, 1956, and passed away on September 28, 2020, in Santa Fe, NM. Eugene was preceded in death by his mother Ermie Leal, sister Theresa (Rascon) Thompson, brothers Joe and Anthony Rascon also brother in law Michael Bernal.
Survived by loving, caring companion Debbie Segura and survived by his only (child) daughter, Gena Joe Romero and husband Gene Romero, and grandkids, Caleb Romero, Malanchi Romero, Kayla Romero, and also survived by his only living sister Veronica Bernal, and Mia Segura who was like a granddaughter to Eugene. Loving stepfamily, Ranae Segura, Teddy Bernal, Fidel and Danyell Segura, grandkids Orion, Tabias, Lucyell. Special neices Tracy Lucero, Leslie Thompson, Sandra Garcia and nephew Dylan Lucero, niece Laney Ortega, nephew Triston Cardenas, niece Shelby Cardenas, nephews Pablo Garcia, niece Deja and Deeana Martinez, Jordon Chavez, Victor Chavez.
Eugene (Geno) Rascon, was also survived by many, many close friends, close special cousins Patrick Lovato, Andrew Lovato, Mario Lovato, Ted Montoya, Manuel Jr. Manuel Sr, and Ricky Rascon.
Eugene was a graduate of Raton High School class of 1974 he was very loved and admired by his classmates and friends. He was loving, caring, supportive and he would go out of his way to help anyone in need. Eugene will be truly missed but never forgotten. Play your guitar high and proud Geno, you were a great friend, boyfriend, companion, mechanic, I’ll love and miss you forever. He was a badass guitar player R.I.P. Geno.
