In Loving Memory of Mark Montoya

Mark Montoya, age 51, died on Sunday, October 11, 2020, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Rosary will be recited at 9:30 AM on Saturday, October 17, 2020, and Mass of Christian Burial will follow at 10:00 AM at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Fr. Jason Pettigrew as celebrant. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.

Mark Montoya was born on May 22, 1969, in Clayton, New Mexico to Abran “Abie” Montoya and Lupe (Ulibarri) Montoya. Mark graduated from Clayton High School in 1987. He served in the New Mexico National Guard and worked for Tri-State Recycling in Texline, Texas. Mark loved to ride motorcycles and he loved to hunt, fish, camp, and cook. He enjoyed the mountains and he was very artistic. Mark was preceded in death by his father Abbie Montoya on January 1, 2016.

1 BROTHER: Phillip Montoya and his wife Anna of Rio Rancho, New Mexico.

HIS FIANCEE: Judy Copley of Clayton, New Mexico.

2 SONS: Jeffrey Montoya and Justin Montoya both of Amarillo, Texas.

5 UNCLES: Leroy Montoya and his wife Katie, Tommy Montoya and his wife Luciene and Robert Montoya and his wife Joy all of Clayton, New Mexico, Frankie Montoya and his wife Connie of Amarillo, Texas and Paul Montoya and his wife Jerri Ann of La Junta, Colorado.

8 AUNTS: Jo Jo Talley of Clayton, New Mexico, Vera Garcia and her husband Steven, Rosie Miller and her husband Joe, Christine Godinez and her husband Mark, Florine Mestas and her husband Charles and Rosella Padilla and her husband Jake all of Amarillo, Texas, Jane Valdez and her husband Pete of Fort Worth, Texas and Patsy Padilla and her husband Ralph of Pueblo, Colorado.
