Project: Raton Great Blocks – 1st Street – Phase 2
Announcement:
Phase 2 of the Raton Great Blocks Construction Project on 1st Street in downtown Raton is making great progress.
As construction advances, it is now time to begin work at the intersection of South 1st Street at Rio Grande Avenue.
Starting on September 16th, 1st Street will be closed to thru traffic between Apache Avenue and Cook Avenue; and Rio Grande Avenue will be closed between 1st Street and 2nd Street. Access will still be available for businesses and residents, but thru access will not be permitted. Please detour around this area using South 2nd Street until the street closure is re-opened.
This street closure is expected to remain in effect for approximately two weeks.
