Mary Paula Devlin of Sandia Park, NM, went to rest in the Lord on Wednesday, September 2, 2020, after cheerfully trying to outsmart cancer since 2016. Prior to her retirement, she spent 15 years as the Office Manager for Martin Financial Advisors in Raton, NM.
Paula, daughter of the late Thomas M. and Mary Carrigan Devlin was born Tuesday, January 25, 1944, in Boston and grew up with her family in Needham, MA. She graduated from the St. Claire High School in Roslindale, MA with three college scholarships and a National Merit Letter of Commendation. She graduated with a BA from Albertus Magnus in New Haven, CT. And completed her Masters in Pastoral Ministry from St. Joseph’s College in West Hartford, CT. Paula was a devout Catholic. She enjoyed cooking, needlework, knitting, gardening, and reading. She also loved to travel whenever she could and relished in good food. She is survived by her daughter, Elizabeth A Cooley (David) Rademacher, and their sons Timothy and Peter of Sandia Park, NM; stepsons, Edmond S. (Anne) Cooley of Orford, NH; Richard W. (Lindsay Butler) Cooley of Seattle, WA; Timothy C. Cooley of New York City; siblings, Peter T. (Maria) Devlin of Oak Park, IL, Ellen L. (Lawrence) Cray of York, PA, Mark T. Devlin (Monghang) of The Villages, FL and Thomas M. (Anne Hackett) of Worcester, MA. There will be a Rosary followed by a Funeral Service on Tuesday, September 8, 2020, at 9:30 a.m. at FRENCH – University. She will be laid to rest at Guaje Pines Cemetery in Los Alamos, NM.
