Joe A. Segura, age 88, died on Friday, August 7, 2020 in Clayton.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, August 15, 2020 at the Clayton Gospel Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Pastor Mike Phipps officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Joe A. Segura was born on July 28, 1932 in Maes, New Mexico to Juan D. Segura and Jesucita (Sandobal) Segura. Joe married Cruzita (Lopez) Segura on April 10, 1960 in Pueblo, Colorado. Joe was self employed and also worked on farms in Northern Colorado for many years. He later worked for Six M Concrete Company for twenty years and then retired. Joe liked to go to the Dairy Queen and visit and spread God’s word. He prayed for any one that needed prayer and he was not afraid to spread the gospel. He made friends easily and enjoyed talking to people. Joe loved to sing and listen to Christian music, Gospel music and Spanish music and he loved to talk about the miracles that God did in his life. Joe was preceded in death by his parents, 1 son, Jesse Segura, 2 brothers, Eufelilo Segura and Gilbert Torres and a sister, Mary Romero.

WIFE: Cruzita Segura of Clayton, New Mexico.
5 DAUGHTERS: Elizabeth Segura Ortiz and her husband Antonio of Evans, Colorado, Martha Talley and her husband Robert of Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, Susie Hughes and her husband Will of Purdy, Missouri and Ruth Ellenburg and her husband Woodrow and Paulina Paterson and her husband Chris all of Alamogordo, New Mexico.
2 SONS: David Segura and his wife Rhonda of Hawaii and Daniel Segura of Clayton, New Mexico.
DAUGHTER-IN-LAW: Diana Segura of Clayton, New Mexico.
26 GRANDCHILDREN, 15 GREAT-GRANDCHILDREN,
2 SISTERS: Jenny Alvarado and her husband Ramon of San Bernardino, California and Corina Jaramillo and her husband Ernest of Lamar, Colorado.
2 BROTHERS: Willie Segura and Benny Torres both of Rocky Ford, Colorado.
2 SISTERS-IN-LAW: Lucy Segura of Nunn, Colorado and Trudy Torres of Evans, Colorado.
2 Special Friends: Johnny Sanchez & Fermin Moncada.
And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
