Bobbie Long, age 68, died on Wednesday, July 15, 2020, at her home in Clayton, New Mexico.
Funeral services will be held at 10:00 AM on Monday, July 20, 2020, at the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico with Rev. Billy Rammage officiating. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Bobbie (Jones) Long was born on August 2, 1951, in Clayton, New Mexico to Robert Edgar Jones and Clarice (Green) Jones. Bobbie married Ray Long on July 14, 1978, in Clayton, New Mexico and he preceded her in death on April 5, 2013. They made their home in Texline and later moved to Clayton. Bobbie worked for the Clayton Police Department for many years and then went to work for the North Eastern New Mexico Correctional Facility as a correctional officer and she also worked at Alsups Convenience store for several years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Clayton, New Mexico. In addition to her husband, Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Eddie Jones.

1 DAUGHTER: Karley Valdez and her husband Jesse of Clovis, New Mexico.
1 SISTER: Linda Ward and her husband Greg of Texline, Texas.
5 BROTHERS-IN-LAW: John Long and his wife Sandy of Canadian, Texas, Bob Long, and his wife Judy of Nara Visa, New Mexico, Rex Long of Houston, Texas, Denny Feerer and his wife Carla of Los Lunas, New Mexico and Steven Feerer of Homer, Alaska.
Nieces & Nephews: Robert Ward and his wife Peggy of Felt, Oklahoma, Samantha Mattioda and her husband Benny of Hartshorne, Oklahoma and Lori Daniels and her husband Brian of Navarre, Florida.
And a very close friend: Lou Arguello of Clayton, New Mexico.
MEMORIALS: The family asks that memorials be made in Bobbie’s memory to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital.
