Angie Guerra was a life-long resident of the Raton area. She was born and raised on the Guerra ranch near Yankee. She had a life-long love of the land, the livestock she raised, and the wildlife that lived near her home. In her later years, she established a scholarship to enable students to complete education degrees in agricultural fields that will benefit farmers, ranchers, and managers of wildlife and horticulture.
The Angie Guerra Scholarship committee is committed to honoring the wishes of Ms. Guerra by awarding her generous donation of scholarship funds to those individuals who truly desire to pursue careers in agricultural fields that will honor her memory and benefit mankind.
