Raymond Medina, age 75, passed away on Monday, June 8, 2020, in Clayton, New Mexico.

Raymond Medina was born on March 6, 1945, in Farley, New Mexico to Manuel Medina and Francis (Martinez) Medina. A lifelong resident of Clayton, Raymond worked as a cook for the Coffee Break, the Hi-Ho Café, and for the Nu-Way Café and he was very well known by many for his homemade cinnamon rolls. When the Nu-Way closed he went to work at Union County General Hospital as the assistant maintenance man and retired after 17 years. Raymond married Genevieve (Trujillo) Medina on August 22, 1964, in Clayton. He was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah’s witnesses in Clayton. Raymond enjoyed spending time with his family and door activities and he especially enjoyed fishing. Raymond was preceded in death by his parents and by 3 sisters and 1 brother.

WIFE: Genevieve Medina of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER: Cindy Cantu and her husband Ruben of Fritch, Texas.
1 SON: Anthony Medina and his wife May of Dalhart, Texas.
6 Grandchildren: Matthew Medina and his wife Ambrye, Kristen Ferguson, and her husband Jason, Kendrick Guel, and his wife Jori, Shantel Guel, Ashley Rodriguez, and her husband Joshua and Morgan Kirksey and her husband Skyler.
8 Great-Grandchildren: Chaslynn, Odin, Penelope, Amelia, Daxon, Cohen, Lilliana, and Leilynn.
And numerous nieces and nephews.
