Edward “Ed” Vigil, age 56, passed away on Sunday, June 7, 2020, in Clayton, New Mexico.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 PM on Wednesday, June 10, 2020, at St. Francis Xavier Parish Hall in Clayton and Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Thursday, June 11, 2020, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church by Fr. Jason Pettigrew. Burial will follow in the Clayton Memorial Cemetery by Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton, New Mexico.
Edward Vigil was born on March 13, 1964, in Amarillo, Texas to Steven Vigil and Margaret (Blan) Vigil. He was a lifelong resident of Clayton and he worked for several years doing construction work of all kinds for many people and for the State of New Mexico. Edward loved hunting, fishing, and cruising main. He was a member of St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Clayton. Edward was preceded in death by his mother Margaret Vigil on August 5, 2005, his father Steven Vigil on March 11, 2016, a sister as an infant and by 2 brothers; Joseph Vigil and Ronnie Vigil

2 SONS: Edward Joe Vigil and his wife April of San Antonio, Texas and Devin Vigil, and Katelyn of Dalhart, Texas.
1 DAUGHTER: Alex Vigil and George of Dalhart, Texas.
Devin & Alex’s Mother: Shannon Torres of Dalhart, Texas.
4 GRANDCHILDREN: Edward Bryce Vigil, Hadley Vigil, Edward Ayden Vigil, and Ava Vigil.
1 BROTHER: Lawrence Vigil and his wife Betty Jo of Clayton, New Mexico.
2 SISTERS: Sofie Lucero and her husband Phil of Clayton. New Mexico and Susie Lerma and her husband Mario of Pagosa Springs, Colorado.
And numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
