Dorothy Laskey Rose, age 75, died on Friday May 22, 2020 in Clayton, New Mexico.
Cremation has taken place and no services are scheduled at this time. Arrangements were under the direction of Hass Funeral Directors of Clayton.
Dorothy Laskey Rose was born on October 13, 1944 in Manistee, Michigan to Walter Laskey and Phyllis (Sadowski) Laskey. She lived most of her life in Michigan. Dorothy married Jon Rose in Manistee, Michigan in 1976. She attended Michigan State University and received a Bachelors Degree in Journalism and worked as a journalist in Michigan for 30 years. Dorothy retired from Journalism and returned to school at Grand Valley University where she received her Master’s Degree in Social Services. Dorothy worked as a social worker in Michigan and then moved to Clayton where she continued as a social worker at GEO until she retired. Dorothy enjoyed working with troubled youth and foster children and she also enjoyed her foster dogs. Dorothy was also an avid reader. She was preceded in death by her parents.

HUSBAND: Jon Rose of Clayton, New Mexico.
1 DAUGHTER: Karen Benedict and her husband Jay of East Jordan, Michigan.
1 SON: Thom Rose of Clayton, New Mexico.
4 Grandchildren: Dominic, Ty, Brandon & Sharon.
1 Great-Grandson: Anakin.
